Over a million euros raised by a startup that delivers wine to your doorstep.
This is a recent piece of news, reported by all major newspapers, that the Italian startup Winelivery, that will deliver wine to your doorstep, had managed to raise this considerable sum through crowdfunding. Using the platform CrowdFundMe the initiative promoted by Andrea Antinori and Francesco Magro has raised tremendous interest from many investors. Why do we find it striking? After all it is a good projet, a good idea, a sign of italian vivacity and dinamicity, all important points. However what really has attracted our attention is the concept of the crowd, the community, making a project possible. The same enthusiasm, the same energies could be channeled towards charitable project so that together, we can really make the difference, after all, isn't helping one another a very Christian concept?
