What can you do on Sanctis.org?
- There are many ways to pray, Sanctis lets you light a virtual candle for a Saint, for example asking for protection for your children, nephews or in special occasion like a school exam, a wedding, a moment of difficolty or for a loved one that has fallen ill and for whom you want to ask for the intercession of the Saint dearest to you, or the one best indicated for the specific cause.
It is a simple gesture that you may chose to do when modern life does not leave you the time to visit your Church, o perhaps because you suffer from mobility problems and you wish to live your faith from home, from your pc, tablet or phone. Sanctis only gives you an additional tool, but the way you live your Faith remains a matter private to you whereby each choses the way to pray that most foster his or her proximity to God.
The amount that you donate when you light a virtual candle is entirely dedicate in helping Sanctis's community, without commission or amount deducted, hence your gesture will be twice as meaningful, whilst you ask for the intercession of a Saint to help you with your situation you will, at the same time, be doing an act of solidarity and charity that can only strengthen you communion with God. Giving, in many respects, is equivalent to loving God.
Each candle you light or donation you make whilst logged in will remain in the history of your personal area for full traceability.
- You can donate chosing amongst the active campaigns on the site. There are no commissions from our part. Our service is free. If you chose selected means of payments such as SEPA bank transfers there won't be any deductions from the bank either. If you use Paypal or a Credit Card any deduction refers to the deduction applied by the service provider. If you are making foreign or digital currency or NON EURO, NON SEPA transfers feel free to contact our helpdesk to discuss the most efficient and cost effective way to transfer your funds to avoid unnecessary banking fees. Each donation you make whilst logged in will remain the history of your personal area for full traceability.
- You can create a fund raising campaign for yourself or for a charitable cause or for a third party. It will be the community to decide which causes are worty to support, Sanctis will verify personal data, corporate or identity documents e as far as possible the truthfulness of the information provided. Members of the community can themselves contact proponents of a campaign to ask further questions. Once you created a fund raising campaign, you have access to your donations whenever you wish, whilst the fund raising is taking place. There is no time limit either, nor a deadline or a minimum target. Whatever amount your raise is yours and you can decide to withdraw it free of charge (for selected means of payments), use it to support other campaigns on the site or even pray and ask for the intercession of a Saint.
- Serve a Saint, to promote his life and teachings. As you can immagine the choice of the world wasn't easy, however "serving" is a world very commonly used in liturgy and by Pope Francis. To Serve is a gesture of love for God.
Assignments and the role of Servant
If you admire and specific Saint and you think you can dedicate time to spread the story of his/her life, his teachings, talk about him/her to those you love, get others to know more about him/her, then you may decide to participate in our assignments that could make you the faithful servant of that Saint for the time you can give. This will give you the opportunity in your journey to become a better Christian learning from the teachings of the Saint and at the same time help the community to learn about his/her santity and ability to intercede for us before God..
«Being more closely united to Christ, those who dwell in heaven fix the whole Church more firmly in holiness.... They do not cease to intercede with the Father for us, as they proffer the merits which they acquired on earth through the one mediator between God and men, Christ Jesus.... So by their fraternal concern is our weakness greatly helped.».
St. Dominic, dying, to his brothers: «Do not weep, for I shall be more useful to you after my death and I shall help you then more effectively than during my life».
Man was created to serve and love God, serving a Saint is thus also a gesture of love for God.
